Improved Absorption

Organics are by definition, harmonious with our bodies as they are living organisms.  The fatty acid composition of naturally derived ingredients is similar to that of the skin therefore absorption is improved.  Synthetic chemicals are not synergetic with our skin cells; they either sit on the skin or are absorbed in their unchanged state.  The skin’s fat cells are made up of fatty acids like those in plants, so the skin can easily take in and use all that they provide.  Natural oils, rich in essential fatty acids are especially compatible with and well received by the skin.  Vitamins A, D and E contained within plant extracts are fat soluble making them easily absorbed by skin.  These vitamins are essential for skin renewal and protection against free radicals.

Fewer Imperfections

Natural products are easier on the skin, allowing it to breathe more naturally for a reduction in clogged pores and imperfections.  Consider the use of emollients which serve 2 functions; they prevent dryness and protect the skin, acting as a barrier and healing agent.  Synthetic emollients are occlusive, coating the skin and not allowing it to respire (much like cling film).  This can cause pores to clog, a reduction in the skins ability to eradicate toxins and promotes bacterial growth leading to blemishes.  In fact, emollients such as mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin can cause chemically induced acne.  Natural emollients actually nourish the skin. They are metabolised by the skin’s own enzymes and absorbed into it.

No Dryness, Irritation or Bad Reactions from Harsh Chemicals

Without harsh chemicals the skin is less likely to become dry or dull and there is less risk of allergies or infections.  Only botanical ingredients can provide skin benefits due to it being synergistic with our skin cells.  Synthetic skin care products contain harsh chemicals used in their formulas.  Over time, skin becomes strained and weakened as it tries to cope with chemical toxins.  Thus it is more vulnerable to damage from free radicals, dryness and other sensitivities.
